Have a 2007 Mercury Grand Marquis
battery light will randomly come on and
go offperiod recently replaced the
alternator should I replace the battery?
Also check engine light came on code
came back and catalytic converter how
do I know which one?

So yes, you should have the battery checked along with the charging system, just to be sure that is working properly, just takes a minute to do, and the code for the catalytic converter is something totally different. What was the code?
