Wheel hub for 2000 Acura TL

Asked by ndrewiids May 26, 2011 at 09:46 PM about the 2000 Acura Integra GS Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi, I hit a curb last weekend due to the slippery road.(Slide to it with passenger front wheel collided on side) Currently, I got my wheel changed and four tires changed. There is still humming noise come up with slight vibration on gas paddle. The dealer told me to replace the front wheel hub. Their price is $380(180 for parts and 200 around for labors). However, I found the Timken's wheel hub assembly sold on internet for about $80. Is there anyone running on this "aftermarket" wheel hub? Is it good? Or should I use OEM parts provided by dealer? Thanks

Never ever trust the dealer. They will always "take you to the cleaners". Instead, shop at NAPA for OEM replacement parts. For wheel hubs, just go to NAPA. Hope this helps.
