Hummer H3 2007 Check Engine Light

Asked by tjcpink Nov 17, 2015 at 01:29 PM about the 2007 Hummer H3 4 Dr Adventure

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So I bought my Hummer, Used of course, It threw a check engine light and I brought it back to the dealership. A long story short it was a cracked cylinder head. So they have replaced it after 2 and a half weeks. They test drive it and throws another check engine light???? They say it is because there is a vibration in the engine, still at shop..... Any Ideas on this one

What code was it? A vibration in the engine could be a lot of things. A mis-fire would be my first guess. After that it could be mechanical such as a rod knock or other serious problem. The cracked cylinder head was likely caused by over heating which means the engine may have other damage! If it is not too late get your money back!
