Battery jump started backwards

If my boyfriend attempted to
jump start my 2007 with a
jumper box and put the cables
opposite of correct terminal will
it permanently break my car
down?

Permanently? No. But he may have fried a fusible link or fuse. May also damage the battery. Has the car run since?
