Question type: Maintenance & Repair
If i buy a used car that does not have maintenance warranty. Can I purchase one for less
than the $1500 or $1400 that the car dealer and my bank offers? If so, Where?
Thank you very much for answering all of my questions at least you are helping me narrow
my choices down.

You can buy all types and values of warranties. The dealer and the bank act as agents for the insurance companies that back the claims. They get money for selling the policies. You can shop around for the features, deductibles and prices that suit your needs. --- Personally, I do not buy any extended warranties. I pay for things as they happen. It's usually less expensive that way.
Here's a bunch of sites that you can use to research if a warranty is for you. http://www.consumerautomotiveresearch.com/ --- http://www.edmunds.com/auto-warranty/ --- http://www.motortrend.com/new_cars/auto_warranty/ --- http://www.autobytel.com/car-buying-tips/warranty-information/ -- http://www.edmunds.com/auto-warranty/understanding-extended- warranties.html
