Check those wires with a known good bulb. If it does not light, you have lost the power or the ground. Theres 3 wires, one for each bulb filament and one ground. A tech uses a voltmeter and or a 12v test light for this. Books about simplicity of basic circuits are free at the library,to borrow.. Nearly every failure of this type is a bad connection, or bad ground. Headlight circuits are normally protected individually. In an emergency, if you lose one, you still have the other. When you lose both, they are normally protected by a circuit breaker inside the lightswitch. It resets when it cools. Then if the current draw is excessive, it repeats. This tells you you are concerned only with the leg of the circuit that supplies that lamp and its connections, ground, and the bulb itself. If yours is wired differently or changes occur from one year to the next, your schematic must be specific and correct. Public libraries can be a low cost resource. Online schematics are not always labeled specific.

If you have a single filament, of course you would not have the third wire on that connection. European styling and designs are specific to their own and their bulb failures can be the arrangement of the parts and how they interact. Corrosion can impede current flow and bulb holders can be at fault. Substituting parts that are good from the other side can often be the best test.
