2007 X type dash light squeggly lines ???

problem, the light on the dash (with the squiggly lines) has been coming on ...first what does that mean when its ON (lite up) I have to shut my (2007 Jag x type automatic / gas) off and on a few times to get it to stay off. is it dangerous to drive while that is ON?? I live in Vermont and its starting to get cold with Ice

That is notifying you of the traction control working. You may need new winter tires.

I have new tires for winter...so is this a good thing that its on? Is it something I'm doing to make it come on? I had a 2003 jag xtype last winter it didn't have this???

I know its my traction control light...my question is...is that my AWD on? is it something I turn on and off? am I hitting a button? is it OK to drive with that light on all the time???
