Brake loss

Asked by Bill Nov 30, 2016 at 07:01 PM about the 2007 Volkswagen Golf GTI 2.0T 4-Door FWD

Question type: General

I was leaving work and noticed before I left the
parking lot, I had lost most of my brake pressure.  I
opened the hood and can hear a sucking noise as
well as the engine running really rough.  It sounds
like the turbo is still intact but I am getting a bunch
of backfire now when I hit the gas.  (The only thing
I could say may have caused it was hitting a speed
bump to hard or throwing it from rev into first too
fast, which stalled the car.)
