Remove key from ignition, chiming continues and battery goes dead
2007 Tucson - Sometimes when we remove the ignition key and then pen car door, car
chimes. When we close the car door the chiming stops. If we leave car for a few hours
then we need to boost the car because the battery is dead. This is something new. The
next time the car chimed with the key out of the ignition, we stuck the key back in,
turned the key to the on position and then back to off, removed key and no chiming.
Let car sit over night and no problems starting the car. Seems that although chiming
stops when we close car door, something is still on and is draining the battery.
Any ideas?
