Why did three of my window controls stop functioning? Gmc sierra 2007

Asked by IDontUnderstandCars Dec 25, 2020 at 12:46 AM about the 2007 GMC Sierra 1500 SLE1 Ext. Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

3 or my 4 car windows don't currently work for unknown
reasons. The front passenger side door is currently the
only one that works. All the others fail to roll down and up
when using the door controls. The left passenger window
will also not work on the drivers window controls and only
works for the password window controls. The other
controls don't work. I am unsure why but earlier a few
months ago the driver side controls for the front
passenger window slowly stopped working. Then
yesterday they all stop working suddenly except for the
front passenger control on the passenger side. Not sure
why

Check wiring, especially from dash to door. Wires get brittle and breaks from the door opening and closing. Usually in rubber boot by door hinges, look on YouTube may be a video on how to take boot apart. Could also be control on driver's door .Hope that helps
