i just installed a new timing belt on a 1997 acura cl 3.0

the car runs but its rough at low rpms can i adjust the timing without having to open the
motor back up

it sounds like you got the timing belt off a tooth or two- don't mess with the timing, it was good when you took it apart, right? don't add to your problems- you have to take the cover off again and re-check it- sorry- got to be real careful when doing your own cambelt- you are lucky you didn't bend a valve- hopefully
