The alternator and battery have been changed on my 2008 Dodge Avenger but the battery light still comes on and when I press the gas it doesn't accelerate much. What's wrong?

Check all battery connections. Also the negative connections on the frame and motor. All must be clean and tight. Also test alternator output at the battery terminals. Should be 14.5 volts. If it's not test it at alternator. If not at alternator replace the new alternator. If you do have it at new alternator but not at battery you have a connection problems somewhere. If you have it at both you might have a parasitic draw condition.

I have had my alternator replaced twice in the last 2 years in my 2013 dodge avenger. What could be causing this issue?
