What's wrong with my 08 dodge avenger?

Acts like battery dead by not wanting to start? If so could be bad starter or loose connection.
Or possibly a bad key and the anti theft system is not recognizing it.
But it starts just fine if I jump it off and it's ok for a few days then it will do it again.
If you have 2 keys use the other one and see if it does it.
Check alternator output voltage. Should be 14.5 volts to keep battery charged. If that check out ok then check battery. Which if you just replaced with a new one it's probably ok. Now clean and tighten battery connections. If still has factory battery post clamps inspect them real close. Is the bolt tightened all the way down with no more room to tighten them? They should have a little more room to tighten even when they are fully tight. If no room to tighten any more I would replace them. Now if all that's ok and battery still going dead I would consider checking for a parasitic draw situation.

I just had the same problem on my 2013 Avenger. The negative wire to the PCM was connected to the wrong stud on the firewall. If you look at the firewall you should see two very large wires going to a stud on the shock tower. The bolt that you would place jumper cables on. My car only had one cable at this location. The other cable went to a very small stud that was under the positive terminal on thefirewall. This little stud was loose. I bought this car new with 50 miles. It took 8700 before it created a problem.
Was this issue ever fixed? Thanks.

No clue whats wrong with ny 08 dodge avenger. I've replaced the alternator, tested the battery, tested the alternator, tested post terminals on battery and also replaced then. Not the starter, car turns over but cuts off after 5 minutes or so. Battery light is on . Im not sure if the pcm is sending weird signals. Any suggestions before i take to a shop?
