Tune up ,remove spark plugs

How long will it take me to
change plugs on a 2008 ford
escape 3.0 ? Also must i
remove bolts to top intake or
just loosen ?

Yes, you have to remove about ten (captive...won't fall out) bolts and lift the intake away while loosening a few others. Then take the coil on plug off one at a time, one bolt each. And remove a few other bolts and vacuum hoses. It's not too bad if you are careful, take your time and don't drop anything down the intake...plug with rags. Use the same brand and number plugs as original and apply never seize to threads. Aluminum heads, so use a torque wrench. I've done my Duratec many times over the years and it takes about three hours. I really don't trust most of these young mechanics who use impact guns on sparks plugs!!! One more thing, engine must be stone cold and don't cross thread. Gently insert plug with a length of rubber hose to start threads.

Ok my mech .did it in 45 min ,but as i look at my plugs under intake they dont have hand prints like my front ones do so i think he only changed the front one and not the vmback ones thanks for your onput
Did he replace the upper manifold gaskets also?

All is true whats been said i called the mech.and he said yes to get the manifold gaskets ,please can you tell me what else is neede as in do i need to replace my egr valve
