Integra don’t start

Asked by Chris Dec 02, 2018 at 09:41 PM about the 1996 Acura Integra LS Coupe FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was at a red light and when I put it on first
to go it just stalled. So I thought I stalled but
when I go turn it on it cranks but won’t start
and dash lights got dim. After a while I let it
sweat and it started with the dash lights dim
but the head lights and radio work full power.
I try to give it gas so it won’t turn off on me
and I just head backfires like if the dizzy was
misfiring. Then it just turned off and
completely dead But radio and headlights
work fine. So I gave it a jump with another
car and nothing still no dash lights and no
crank but radio and headlights work full
power . Any suggestions what it can be ?

I'm having the same problem with mine, except mine is auto. It shut off in the middle of the road. I'm assuming its the distributor or the ignition switch maybe wiring. When i try to turn the car on it shuts off as soon as i release the ignition. Also first stage of turning it on i see the radio on but when i turn the key for the dashboard it doesn't light up until the 3rd time i turn it to turn the car on but like i said it just doesn't turn on. I seen the D flash once when it died it doesn't flash anymore
