Did the fan go out all at once or did you lose speeds slowly starting at low and ending at the high speed. If that's what happened the resistor which is usually located in the duct work near the firewall inside the car has failed. Google it for location and replacement procedure. Any parts store can sell you a new one if that's what it is and its probably something you can replace yourself if you're a do it yourselfer.
