Changed rear wiper motor, wiper does not turn on with washer fluid

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I had the rear wiper motor changed and now the rear wiper works when
turned on. However, wiper does not turn on when windshield fluid is turned
on. Fluid sprays but the wipers do not activate to clear the fluid. Any ideas
please? My local PepBoys who did the installation is at a loss as to why.
Thank you!

Sounds like it isn't wired right or the switch has failed or it's possible the wiring is at fault. The last decade worth of GM vehicles I've worked on have all been wiring nightmares. Seems like cheap wire is the go to from the lowest bidder. I'd check the switch up front, the wiring on the motor, and then have someone if you can't, test the wiring from front to back to see if it's broke somewhere.

It shows in your question, no worries. "Asked by BipBop 13 hours ago about the 2007 Chevrolet Equinox LS FWD". If Pepboys did the install, maybe they can test the system for you since it's not working as expected? I don't personally deal with Pep Boys so I don't know what they will do to assist customers.
