2007 chevy equinox burning oil

I have a 2007 chevy equinox and its burning oil, low
oil pressure turn engine off message comes on and
off.

Have someone drain the oil and check the drain plug for any small pieces.of metal replace oil and filter use a heavier weight of oil and add Lucas oil treatment

Ok thanks! I went for a oil change today! I put full synthetic oil and new filter. Lucas oil treatment can i put the entire bottle ?
