ABS and Traction control light is on

Asked by Simiya Feb 10, 2021 at 05:51 PM about the 2007 Chevrolet Impala 3.5L LT FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car seems to be driving fine, however my ABS and Traction control lights
are on and there is an cord hanging under my right tire, I think it's my ABS cord.
How do I get those lights to turn off and do I buy a replacement wire for my right
tire?

That "cord" is probably the lead to the wheel sensor which needs to be plugged in in order to have the ABS work. The traction control also relies on that sensor so plug it back in and see if the trouble lights go away. If they don't, have the trouble codes read and go from there. The sensor might be bad (as well as hanging down).
