took my 2008 ford escape to body shop now audio control module will not send sound to speakers

It is possible that welding can damage things. Usually the battery is disconnected during welding to help prevent this. It will be hard to determine if the welding actually damaged the module. It is possible that something is unplugged causing this issue.
