It is the actuator that is making that clicking noise. Very easy to replace it is located in the back seat right panel where the cup holder is. Just remove four screws and take it out. They say you need the genuine ford part which was priced at about $85.

Melissa will this fix the problem with the heat not working in the back or is that another problem?

I know this is an old question, but just in case someone else needs an answer: The problems (clicking and heat/cool issues in back) are related. I suggest you find YouTube videos on it and watch them before getting the part, so you change the right one. There are two in the far back right panel on my 2003. Just open that up and have someone start the truck. With your hand on it, you’ll quickly confirm which it clicking. You may ever choose to remove it and take it to the parts house, so you can get the right part.
