Asked by GuruB5K9S Dec 11, 2018 at 11:10 PM about the 2007 Ford Expedition EL Limited

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2007 Ford Expedition just started making a high
pitch noise coming from the rear. It just seems to
happen when the weather is cold and stops after
the vehicle warms up.

How sure are you that it is inside? Rear wheel bearing? Rear brakes? Rear Differential low on fluid? If it is inside, is it a rear blower motor?

Makes the noise upon start up, not moving. I am certain it is inside, could be the rear blower, but would that make the high pitch noise?
