terrible clicking

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

In my center console, when I turn my car on (not turning on the ignition) I hear
this crazy ticking. Like something is trying to turn over in my car but I cannot
figure out what it is. I got the blender door fixed a couple of months ago, so I
know it couldn't be that. Its a much louder ticking noise. Any advice?

Is the shifter right there? If so there is a lock-out solenoid there for when you hit the brakes to shift the car releases the shifter to a low it to move. If this is the case, best get it fixed before you can't shift the trany into a gear.
