You may have a problem with the EVAP system (purge valve or the canister itself). Get the code read as it probably related. Any auto parts store can read the code for you for free.
Thank you KenF that is very helpful. I have had it checked but no codes showed. Maybe I'll try a different place and see what they come up with. Thanks again
Wait until the engine light is on, and get it read then. There may be a kink or blockage in the evap system that is clearing after a while. The code will reset after one cycle once the problem goes away, but then the problem comes back and bam, another code.
Likely the problem is with either a purge valve/solenoid, or vent valve/solenoid, or charcoal filter in the EVAP canister. The filter over time becomes saturated with fuel, especially if you like to squeeze a little more gas in to "round up" on the pump (seriously, don't keep pumping after the initial shut off by the gas pump). If any of these get bound up, fumes can't vent properly and it can restrict fuel to the throttle body at startup. Both of those solenoids can be removed and tested if you have a meter.
Forgot to mention, a gas cap that can't seal properly can also cause issues, but that should throw a code.
