Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi Guys, got an Audi A4 Tdi 2.0 Quattro reg. VK56 OUJ. About 4 months ago I had a fault start, where I put the key in the ignition and turn on. The glow plug light does not come on (like normal) and the abs light and ESP light on dash will not go out!!!! Then when I turn the ignition it will turn over but not fire up!?? This is an intermittent fault and sometimes it does not appear for quite a few runs in the car. However, it is getting worse... I have made sure all the tyres are the same tread and pressure (as its a quattro) I have made sure brake fluids and all fluids are topped up correct. I have swapped over the brake relays to see if one of them was faulty!! Is this fault common and please can you help?

when was the last time you had the glow plugs serviced ? they are probably in need of replacement. Granted they last a while but they don't last forever. Have your cars glow plug assembly checked and make sure its working correctly.
