2006 audi oil pressure light

Has anyone switched out the oil pressure sending unit with a new one? If not, you can pick one up on Ebay for under $20.
They switched out a sensor.. it only comes on when driving under 50 mph
Did a little internet research. Apparently a common problem with the Audi is oil sludge. It plugs the pickup tube and causes the low oil pressure light to come on. Have an Audi mechanic test your oil pressure and see if it falls within specs. If it doesn't, he will have to drop the oil pan and replace the oil pump and tube. If you are having an oil sludge issue, if not fixed soon you could burn up your cams.
Am having the same problem with Audi a4 convertible, when i dismantled the engine sump for the first time there was dirt in the strainer, i cleaned it and refitted it again the light (oil pressure light) came on, redismantled the engine sump again there wasn't any dirt. On dismantling the oil pump itself it has grinded on the surfaces, this makes me conclude that the problem is with the pump. I've ordered for a new pump..........60$
Hey, how y'all doing ? Having these same problem with my 2006 Audi A4 2.0.... Did y'all find out what was the problem ? Would love to hear it. Thank you
My car is at the dealership right now for this. I would love a reply too.
Betseyp, what did the dealership say the issue was? Was it a clogged oil tube or the pump itself?
They finally figured out it was something to do with the cam shaft. Metal in the housing or something.
Yikes! That sounds pricey!
The timing chain tensioner is normally broken around 100k mi, which would cause the oil pressure low and you need to fix it first before checking the oil pickup tube or oil pump
