In 1988 , I believe the stock ratings were HP= 225 , Torque= 300ftlbs You can do allot of things to boost power , such as high flow air filter , improved headers and duel exhaust from a good aftermarket supplier ( Hooker , Headman , etc )

on my 1988 mustang 5.0 ive installed a stage 3 trick flow cam new flat top pistens with cobra heads and GT40 intake also cobra bk shorty headers with flowmasters a 70mm tb and a T5 transmission a new PT rear end with 408 gears. it runs and sounds great but whats a good guess on the new HP its putting out now?

I'm going to guess somewhere around 285- 300rwhp. Stock specs are 225 came w the intake and headers were probably a 60 hp gain I'm not taking the camshaft in consideration of course it helped it as much as the other parts if you had the correct springs ect. Hope this help either way sounds like a good running lil motor.
