Yes, these have not reached a peak of collector value. Similar to the 1977 Chevy Vega GT with 61 miles that went for $13,000 at Kruse Auction this year. Just not something that most people are looking for.

I'm afraid the car is not worth allot . A 1979 Indy pace car Mustang special edition would be worth something . The car would have to stand out to be something collectible , such as a Boss 302 ,or a Shelby .

Right now it's all about condition, miles and options. The 80 Mustangs are not known for power, but a clean and well preserved car, would still be attractive for the right buyer ! I would dare guess around $3000 for an average clean - $5000 super clean. If there are modification to the performance this could increase this value!!

I agree with Papa, In a few years these are going to be one of those cars that are going to up in value, and we will all be saying "man I with I never got rid of that" or "I had one of those, sold it thou" keep it in good shape and enjoy it.

but that is all speculation, you would need another 10+ years to see and there is no guarnete that the prices are going go up. sorry about not being clearer in my last statement.

You are right it's all speculation & the other factor is emotion. I've seen many weird cars (in my view) go for a lot of money, yet the buyer's mom or dad used to own one... you know how it goes! I always say a car is worth as much as people give you :)
