The 1984 Ford Mustang GT-350 was a limited edition in honor of the 20th anniversary of the Mustang. It was a trim package that was available on convertibles or hatchbacks with either the 5.0L HO or the 2.3L Turbo. The package consisted of Oxford White paint, Canyon Red rocker-panel stripes, red interior with articulated front seats, and two anniversary badges on the dashboard (although I have seen many pics with blue interior and striping, so there may be more than I know). It was an option that ranged form $25-$144 depending on body style and options. An estimated 5,262 were produced; 104 turbo GT convertibles, 350 turbo GT hatchbacks, 1,213 5.0L GT convertibles, 3,333 5.0L GT hatchbacks, 16 VIP convertibles, and 246 Canadian versions. Carroll Shelby sued Ford for using the GT-350 badging without his permission because he invented the designation during his partnership with Ford in the '60's.
