What years and models have the same tilt wheel steering column(floor shift)?

Asked by bobzcarz Jan 31, 2007 at 08:19 PM about the 1972 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Fastback RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1972 Ford Mach One.  It has been raced, and the interior has been completely , COMPLETELY, removed.  To start bringing this car back into service to drive on the street,I am looking for a tilt wheel steering column.  Car has a floor shift automatic.  What Ford cars, including Mercury and Lincoln, and what years have a steering column that will bolt right in?  My e-mail is bobpaulat@yahoo.com
Thanx for taking the time to consider my question.   Bob

I have a 1972 Ford Mustang Grande... A '71, 72 or '73 will fit without having to do ANY mods... other years can work, but a lot of things have to be done so the 'easy' answer is 71-73.
