How can I search for a 1973 Mustang Mach 1 that I once owned?

I don't have the VIN.
I bought it new in October 1972.
I bought it at Art Hill Ford in Merrillville IN

Good luck with that. Privacy laws prevent the government from sharing registration data.

If you have the VIN you could try car clubs. Without the VIN you probably would not know your own car if you saw it.
