I have a question regarding the hood on my 69 mustang sportsroof

I'm restoring my 69 mustang sportsroof. The body is sanded down to metal
and has all original doors and panels in very good condition. (Car is
originally from California). The hood that is on the car has an original hood
scoop on it. The marti report I got for my car does not mention anything
about a hood under the "options" listed. MY question is then, is it possible
this is still the original hood that came with the car, or would the hood
scoop be an option that should have been listed on the marti report as one
of the cars options. Perhaps someone put this hood on after? The hood fits
great as though it was the original, but I'd like to find out and keep it as
original as possible. It's not a mach 1 or gt, it's a sportsroof. If anyone could
shed some light on this I'd appreciate it. Thanks! Bernie

Lots of people switched hoods to get the cool hood scoops so it might not be original but a careful check of the original paint color will likely tell you if it is original. I am not an expert on Marti reports but I would do further research on Mustang forums before switching the hood out.

It is possible that the hood scoop was part of an appearance option package and not listed separately. I would check back with Marti for more information.
