Straight 6 3.3l Timing problem i have set the
timeing on my mustang at tdc #1 piston up on a
compression stroke and have the rotor pointing at
#1 point on distributer all it will do is turn over and
not start what is my problem?

Check for spark. If you don't have spark it could be the coil, the points. the wires or the point gap.

These are a pain is the A** to get just right, you are off just a hair and will need to take out rotor and sit in in again at a different point to the number cylinder. I had the same thing on a 67 stang and it took a few times, but you will find it..
