If you have base model V6 you should have 193-hp The GT should have abouts 260hp Mach 1 310 SVT Cobra w/ Supercharger 390hp http://consumerguideauto.howstuffworks.com/2004-ford-mustang-3.htm
adam has the right info... id say the 04 GT produces a little more than 260 to the crank... im pretty sure we saw one put down 281hp but yes its rated at 260 for the GT, and 390 for the cobra... although weve seen cobras that put down over 400 to the wheeles BONE STOCK... no tune no nothing just pump 91.. (premium in canada... grrr...)
yeah their full of shit, my 03' GT had 260 h.p. stock, but now im pushin 415 h.p. and insurance is killin me. but noway a stock GT has over 300 h.p.
