In addition only some of the brake lights work, the ones on the trunk lid do not and the bulbs are good

Have you checked the fuses to see if that could be the cause of the brake lights not working? It's worth a look. As for the part I would just ask/call a Toyota parts dealer to get the part #. They could probably order it for you.

The trunk wire comes up through the seat and wraps around The trunk hinge there it pinches Lamp failure sensor yellow box fix wire Replace box

I've found that the ceiling lights are slightly different than a like vehicle without a sun-roof installed ( they have a slide switch - this one does not).
