the battery connection to frame...I believe this is a hearty 1/0awg CABLE, (black) runs from the battery clamp down to a spot on the chassis/frame...wirebrush this location for reliable power and put the bolt back~...you problems will be solved (with a NEW battery) five years old is time to replace them with these new NON-lead ones~

improper ground, my friend...not rocket science....okay, yes rocket science...not beyond a guy with a vicegrips and wirebrush...okay....OK~...in tarnation~
if that doesn't work would it be a wiring problem?

Could be a bad headlight relay, switch, or problem with the body ECU. The ECU gets it's signal from the switch, and turns the headlight relay on. Power from the relay goes to the left and right headlight fuses. The headlights are grounded on the left and right radiator supports.
