I had no previous issues with oil pump but 5 days after paying $2500 to a garage for a timing chain guide replacement and new oil and gasket it seized up and my engine ruined

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Everything returned by the garage is
eerily clean.  The oil pump light
flickered and 2 minutes later the

The only thing i can think of on this, did they replace the oil?Did they use the correct oil?And did they prime the filter before replacement?I think i would be talking to that shop about fixing it at there cost.

We are actually having to take them to small claims court because of their refusal to negligence in the repair. All I know is we had no oil pump issues prior to their replacement of our timing chain guide, oil pan gasket and lower oil pan. the pump is a mess, completed locked down and jammed with visible metal pieces preventing it from turning. It appears to have run dry.
