05 Explorer 4.0L Mesage Center no power to driver control on left side

05 Explorer 4.0L Mesage Center no power to driver control on left side
$WD hi, $wdlo buttons light up work fine
msg center stuck on change oil, cannot get out of thjis mode, turn kep on,
start motor, immediately goes to "oil change required" no way to get ot of
this mode, buttons on left INFO SETUP RESET are unresponsive, noticed
at night, there is no illumination to these buttons, everything else
illuminates as normal, cant seem to find the fuse for this
please help

did you replace the battery and put brand new cables in that?...perhaps it might be a good idea~

Hmm battery is a year old, the alternator and battery were replaced together, the speedo etc was going crazy as others have mentioned in bad alernator /battey scenario's. JUst can seem to get into the msg center to clear the "oil change required" msg I will disconnect the negative battery cable when I get home from work today. Thanks !
be sure the connections are happy with 50 amps~ wirebrush them if necessary~ reset the trouble codes~ use a scanner~

Im a little concerned that the buttons no longer illuminate, almost like the reset etc are no longer powered on, thus useless, do you know if those are fused, I looked at a Ford diagram, but didnt see a specific fuse for the message center or the INFO SETUP RESET buttons to the left of the msg center
