Coolant leak from rear of vehicle, above exhaust

My 2005 Explorer is leaking from where the coolant lines enter the vehicle for
the rear heating/cooling system for the 3rd row. I have fixed temporarily, but I'm
wondering if I can simply cap this coolant line where it comes from the engine.
This vehicle is old and I do not need to have heating in the rear of the vehicle.
Any suggestions?
