I want to add a subwoofer to my XLT SUV but I have Advancetrac RSC and the manual states not to place it anywhere except the specific place, yet it doesn't tell me where that is. Where can I place a subwoofer without affecting the RSC Advancetrac?

Question type: Car Customization

I heard it can be placed where the netted basket is in the rear, just beside the rear seat, but I haven't found any order #'s or tags.

I have also heard the Eddie Bauer editions have a factory subwoofer that doesn't affect the RSC Advancetrac but I haven't found it yet.

Would a bass tube be a better option? there isn't alot of room under the center seat, middle bench so that option is out too.

Daer Maximus_Prime-- I would think that your Ford dealer would have the answer for you concerning your 2005 Ford Explorer. You want to make sure that you get the right information because you don't want to screw up your entire sound system or even the entire electrical system of your car. My favorite aftermarket source for these questions is www.crutchfield.com. Their website has a toll-free number and they have experts answering the phone. Ask for Sparky and tell him I suggested you call. Good luck from Bovan.
