2004 ford explorer

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

While driving my explorer my abs light came on, then
my battery light. My lights started to fade so I pulled
over. I lost all power. I jumped it to get it off the road
and it died again. Its currently at the shop.and they
thought it was the computer module so they replaced
it and it still wont start. Any ideas on what the
problem could be?

Sounds like the alternator is shot. Vehicle will continue to run on battery power until battery fades. First sign is fading lights, then there is not enough power to fire the plugs and the engine dies. But you added, it's at the shop, so I would expect they already checked that.

Yes they checked the alternator and said it was ok. That's what I assumed the problem was at first. I am stumped on this one, and apparently the mechanic is also.
