upper radiator hose

I put water in the coolant reservoir in my
2004 ford explorer and now the upper
radiator hose is frozen and came off.  I fear
there may be ice inside the engine as well.  
What can I do to repair it?

Thaw it out, replace the hose and install anti-freeze so that this does not happen again. You may have leaking freeze plugs though which will have to be replaced. Hopefully you did not crack the engine block.
