My 2004 Explorer won’t start

My battery died in my truck and when I tried to
jump it and I was ready to turn over the ignition it
would not start due to the security system. I don’t
know what to do please help me

Try this: Turn your key on the ignition forward 8 times, stop on the 8th time with the key in the run position, you should hear the locks making clicking noises, then quickly hit all the buttons on the key fob (transponder). If you do it correctly, this will reset the security system. If it does not work the first time, try again. Remember, you have to do the sequence quick or else it will not reset the memory.
