I have a 2003 eddie baurer xlt the 8th letter on the vin is K. what engine will fit
it. Its a 4.0

Best check an engine reman web site. The 4.0 engine has undergone many changes over the years, from block changes, bore changes, cylinder heads, internal engine components, even horsepower, etc. If your engine code is "K", I'd stick with that. I decided to get a reman engine for my 4.0 after researching the problem in obtaining proper parts for heads, crank, etc. The first thing the seller requested was the engine code.
