Should i replace my whole fan assembly?

Asked by Chad Feb 02, 2021 at 10:09 PM about the 2006 Honda Accord LX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi there. I have a 2006 Honda Accord 2.4L (one of the
worst investments I have ever made in my life...) and
recently my car has been overheating. I replaced the
thermostat but to no avail did anything change. I have
noticed that my left side fan only comes on as I soon as i
start my car with the A/C already switched on, after the first
first 2 initial seconds its running, it stops and wont come
back on. My right fan doesnt come on at all, with the A/C
on or anything. I have swapped out the 2 identical relays
but nothing has changed. I am about to go buy the whole
dual fan assembly tomorrow from pick a part and install to
see if that works. Would anyone have any opinions or
advice to my issue?

Did you try to directly wire each fan to see if it will run? You may have a dead fan motor.
