my truck has recently started acting up wont start whats up

my truck all of a sudden decided to not start I turned key nothing I waited at least half an hour ad said im not goin anywhere and I turned key truck started  today same thing I turned key nothing I waited  and tried  to boost truck nothing  engine was funny all gauges moving back and forth nothing no start we left it alone for two hours came back to truck started no problem the minute I turned key zom like nothing was wrong but gauges not workin

Have the codes read at AutoZone or someplace like that.

Could be a loose or worn cable from battery to starter. Check ground strap also.
