2002 dodge Durango

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

We have changed the fuel pump and
fuel sencer and still will crank and shut
back off. Will crank only once in a
while. What else do we need to check
for relays r working we believe.

Clean your map/mav sensor. It's located somewhere on your throttle body/air intake. That little diode measures the amount of O2 in the air and adjusts the amount of fuel to send to the injectors. If it gets just a little dirty it throws off the whole system. Squirt it once or twice with engine cleaner. Be careful though. It's delicate and expensive. It'll improve your mpg too..
