2004 Tahoe

2004 Tahoe I have changed manifold gasket, plugs, wires, oil and universal joint. Now it is acting like it doesn't shift into 2nd gear, has a whining noise, when you accelerate rpms will hold at 3, oil pressure goes up, and mpg goes way down. I have also noticed it is smoking when it didn't before.

Double check manifold gaskets. U might've accidentally installed it wrong, exhaust ports don't lign up. U can see if gaskets stick out from exhaust manifold flanges without taking it apart again

Good idea. If manifold gaskets are installed wrong the exhaust ports will not align correctly.
