Tail / brake light / license plate light

I also have a 2004 Tahoe Z71 with a
tow package, my left tail light is not
working and I wouldn't have never
known had I not gotten pulled over LOL
either way I replaced the bulb but then
my license plate light on the right side
of the vehicle goes out when I take the
bulb out it comes back on either way
the tail / brake light doesn't work
whether it's a new bulb or not. Help
please

i have the same problem and the same year tahoe. i will make a video how to fix it. it has to do with the ice/mud getting on the connector and pulling th wires out, Not a short.
