where can i find the chassis number of my 2003 tahoe?

i need it for stenciling as a requirement for transfer of ownership

You can find it using your VIN#..on your registration or insurance card, or look through the windshield on dash drivers side.......http://www.researchmaniacs.com/VIN/VIN-Decoder.html ...explains how to DIY or http://www.vindecoder.net/.......or http://www.carfax.com/vin_decoding.cfx......will let you plug in your VIN and will do it for you , OR it might be right on the sticker on body where driver's door closes (The chassis number not the VIN that is)

Chassis number are usually found under the driver's seat. Am i right?

mine doen't have any chassis number except the VIN tag on the dash! the tahoe i bought is so f@cked up!
